Witchcraft issues in Ghana have been a major issue time immemorial. Mr.Osei is an innocent victim of witchcraft accusation and the scars of that experience caused him to conceal some truths about his past.

In an interview with Mr.Osei on Angel TV yesterday, he revealed why he didn't want his wife and children know his root and real identity. His ordeal began when his elder brother fell ill and was taken to a traditional priest somewhere in the Western region of Ghana. "The priest could not cure my brother but rather accused me of witchcraft.", he said. Me. Osei was left in the hands of the priest and his people for him to confess but unfortunately for him, he was not able to say anything because honestly, he had no hand in what was happening to his brother. He was maltreated; his fingers cut off and burnt him with hot iron amidst other inhumane acts done to him at the age of fourteen 14. Mr. Osei is now sixty-five (65) years old and married with five children but his wife and children do not know any of his family and where he comes from. Recently his wife realised that the inlaws she knew were all fake. "I didn't want to show them my family, because if they find out some truths about my past they might leave me", Mr. Osei lamented.

Mr. Osei explained that the pressure from his wife and kids to know about his past had taken a toll on his health. He says there are other people in some places in Ghana who are facing the same accusations of witchcraft. He managed to escape from the entanglements of his horrid past, but till date, he is still having emotional problems with his family. He pleaded with the government to help save innocent lives from being destroyed by claims of witchcraft and the atrocities carried out against people accused of witchcraft.
