System Generated Audio Version (SGAV):

March met me in pieces,

Not gentle

But like a storm that knew my name,

And called it until I broke.

My mind moved in circles,

Messy, loud, unkind,

Memories I tried to mute

Came marching back, one by one.

Mornings were the most merciless,

Light felt like too much truth,

My mirror knew all my secrets

And showed me none of my strength.

I was a mess I couldn’t manage,

A mouth full of unsaid things,

My chest tightening with past pains and memories

I didn’t know how to mimic it mentally.

So I made something.

Not perfect just mine.

Marks on canvas,

Mess turning into motion.

My hands remembered what I forgot

How to hold, how to make,

How to move through the ache

Without needing to escape.

Mid-March, I was still breaking,

But quieter now,

Like waves learning the manic

Not every moment must drown me.

My art became my mirror,

But softer, kinder,

It met me where I was

And didn’t ask me to be more.

And slowly...so slowly...

The noise loosened its grip,

My mind made a little room

For breath, for murmuring, for me.

Now March is leaving,

Not with victory, not with defeat,

But with a small, steady mercy

I am still here… and that means something to make-up  for.
