In desperate times, we frantically search for escape,

A fleeting respite from the crushing weight of pain.

We work and overwork, our potential worn thin,

A numbing balm, a temporary dawn that rarely breaks within.

The rat wheel spins, our worth slips away like sand,

Our peace, our health, our humanity pay the ultimate demand.

We're taught to work hard, to push through the searing pain,

But the misery lingers, a chronic strain that refuses to wane.

The doctor's pill, a temporary fix, a Band-Aid on a wound,

A cure lies within, but few know the mix, the secret to being found.

Take a step back, reflect on your life, and confront the strife,

Find yourself, and face the darkness that's been hiding in your life.

It's hard to face, to acknowledge the cost, the toll it's taken,

To see how we've treated ourselves, almost lost, our sense of self forsaken.

But in the silence, a cure can be found, a glimmer of hope,

A personal journey, a wounded path , where we learn to cope.

Take care of yourself, for this is your own, your heart, your everything,

A journey of healing, where love and kindness sing.

No one else can fix it, no external aid, no magic pill,

Your well-being, your life, your heart, your shade, all fragile, all still.

In the stillness, we find our voice, a whisper of truth, a heartfelt cry,

A choice to let go of the pain, to release the weight, and ask for help, and try.

To find solace in a peaceful state, where love and peace entwine,

And learn to love, to forgive, and find our strength in vulnerability's design.

The journey inward, a discovery of self, young and old,

A journey of self-discovery, where we learn to unfold.

With every step, we heal, we grow, our scars remain, but our hearts glow,

The memories linger, but no longer pain, as we learn to live with the past, not in vain.

In self-care, we find our might, a balance of body, mind, and spirit bright,

A beacon of hope, a guiding light, that shines through the darkest night.

We nurture our souls, we tend to our hearts, and find our way to a brand new start,

A new beginning, a fresh new heart

Where love and kindness play their part.
