The line of progress is never straight. For a period, a movement may follow a straight line and then it encounters obstacles and the path bends. It can be likened to the switchback roads on a mountain when you are approaching a city. Often, it feels as though you are moving backwards and you lose sight of your goal but in fact, you are moving ahead and soon you will see the city again closer ahead.
This was said by Dr. Martin King and I think about it every time I'm reminded of "Us". We are beautiful because we bring out the best in each other. Other times, we feel detached, and we forget that a final victory is an accumulation of many short-term encounters.
US comes in folds;
There is the "US" when I felt left out of your life. I was trying so hard to be part of it but you never appreciated it. As a matter of fact, you never saw it. I gave my all so you could see me! But you weren't interested. It was painful and confusing. You always made it all about me. I never worked hard enough but then did you ever stop to ask yourself the role you played in it?
There is the "US" when you seem to never read the signs of a dead relationship. You never understood that love could never be forced. I was always restless around you even though you are the best thing that can ever happen to anyone. I don't have the right words to describe to you that ' I don't think I'm the one for you'. It would break you but it will liberate you. And I need you to understand that it's for the best.
There is the "US" when I am too wild to catch. I want to fly so high. And you seem to be very confused as to how to handle me. When you think you have it in control, I get out of hand😅. Do I enjoy it? No! But trust me, when I say, I'm more confused than you😬
There is the "US" when we are connected. It feels so right like, there's absolutely no care in this world. You know exactly the right words to say and that is one of the many wonderful things about you. My soul is at peace when I'm with you. I feel protected, loved and respected. Though very annoying, your positive traits seem to pay for your shortcomings.
There's the "US" when we connect on another level. We became kindred the moment we met. We were not expecting to get this far but we did. We can talk about everything and anything. I want to be a better version of my self every day so I become the woman you deserve. US it's all US. I am glad we made God King from the beginning. It made it all better. I think that's why I love it this much.
US, how much of Us do you share to the world? How much of us do you take to them? This thing between Us Is Powerful.
And even more beautiful when it's only Us!
