Sometimes Home is a place. Sometimes it's a person. It's where and who makes us feel safe, protected, loved and accepted for who and not what we are.
This is wonderful to know, but have you ever wondered why a person might go so far from "Home"? This question keeps pricking me; Is it because it ceased to be "Home"? If the answer is Yes, then Why? and How?
Can we talk about it?
Are we quick to dismiss our children, our friends and loved ones just because they made mistakes?
Do we sometimes take so much pride in the fact that someone looks up to us that we forget our Role?
The world is full of scared, lonely and sad people, and trust me, you might never know because most people choose to mask their emotions with smiles and feigned happiness.
These people I'm talking about may not come in the "shapes" and "sizes" we would prefer.
They may come in the form of wayward children, or even worse. Do we leave them to their fate? Yes, I know about unequally yoked but who is to save the lost? Trust me the destitute, are even too ashamed to be found so they protect themselves with anger and rude behaviour.
Would you know a good person when you see one?
We are called to be "Homes" to the wanderers. Stop judging and ask yourself how may I help? If not closer, your prayers can help.
Be someone's "Home" today!
Have a lovely week.
