On December 7, 2020, Ghana will conduct its general election. Ghana is noted as a peaceful country globally and a country with respect for democracy. A democratic country gives its citizens the right to vote. Voting is a right, hence it should not be associated with violence. The recent violence in some parts of Africa is a threat to democracy and growth.
Democracy, when strengthened through peaceful elections, dialogue and inclusiveness, gives room for development and sustainability. It is my expectation that Ghana will emerge victorious during and after the election.
All parties should talk and preach peace so that Ghana can once again prove that it is a democratic state.
