What is Love? Do we teach it in schools for better understanding?

I have watched many put their lives on hold, just because of Love.

Do we call it obsession or love?

When he beats you because he believes you flirted at the party, how do you take it? Do you agree it's your fault? Does it justify his action?

When she separates you from everyone who has ever mattered to you. How do you take it? Are you glad she loves you that much?

Should we live in the jungle alone because we love each other?  What is this love turning into? When you seem to need me, do you feel like you can't breathe without me? This reminds me of a movie "splendour in the grass" where Natalie Wood had loved Warren Beatty in that overwhelming way. In the end, she lost him and ended up alone and miserable.

Many people are scared to fly so high because they feel their partner may get angry. Others can't have big dreams because their partners claim to love them and doesn't want to let them explore their passions over the fear of losing them in the process. Shouldn't love set you free? Should it imprison me?  Who is teaching us? Who is defining love for us?

The bible taught us but we seem to know better so let's pause and reflect; Have we chosen right?  I think Love is a mirror, it reflects exactly how you see yourself.

So the way you treat your loved ones reveals your perception about yourself.  Are you seeking for what you ought to give yourself from me?

The victim; Are you so scared of being alone that you decide to play with fire, which you are fully aware will burn you?

"You won't understand " that is what they usually say.

You only live once, why get stuck and caged in the name of love. You are made for more.

They are to add up to your happiness not be the entirety of your happiness.

Let's reflect on this. Take that bold step. It's ok to be broken. You were made to soar, please don't get stuck when you can fly.

Love is beautiful when it's done the right way. Love doesn't suffocate.  So don't be deceived.  You matter!

"I know how you feel about me and I hope you feel the same way about yourself", Uche, a Nigerian writer was right when he said this.

I hope you feel great about yourself so that we love freely and treat each other right.
